Push Purple Day 1
Starting today until the end of May the whole Youth in EN Campus Greenhills will be using the PurpleBook as our devotional guide. We are calling it “Push Purple”.
As a student years ago, I remember God using the Purple book to make me familiar with the Bible and the central themes it has and to cultivate in me the love for the Word. The goal is for us to have a stronger spiritual foundation able to withstand the challenges of life.

I started out today and I ended chapter one, lesson one nearly in tears. It was so packed! (read Genesis 1-3) I got reminded of God’s radical love for us. Here are somethings I realized:
1) God created everything good. And humans were blessed by God to enjoy a relationship with him, with their family (among Adam and Eve), the creation and to make it grow. A Father’s heart to give the best for his children.
2) Man doubted God and sinned. I used to blame Adam and Eve for the sin that entered the world, but when I examine myself, I am equally sinful and rebellious as they are. They doubted God’s love and intention and decided to take matters in their own hands. Then realizing they ‘broke’ God’s command, they decided to hide themselves and cover their guilt and shame. Man is still doing that today, hiding ourselves through religion, through knowledge, through our pride or running away from him in rebellion.
3) God’s response was he was walking in the cool of the day and he sought after Adam and Eve. God is still doing that today. He isn’t surprised by our sin, indeed he knows the gravity, the darkness it has and the pain it can inflict to us, yet he still decides to run after his children and pursue us with his love.
I am excited to go through the other chapters of the Purple book. If you want to join this PurpleBook campaign just follow these instructions and join us as we read God’s Word together.
