Forever love
One of my devotionals everyday comes from a children’s book titled: The Jesus Story book bible. I highly recommend it, it definitely makes you read the bible from a different perspective. It explains some deep bible truths in simple ways. One of them is the word covenant. In our world where in covenant sounds archaic or scary, we need to recover the power of that word.
God’s love for us is not a contractual/consumer type of love. It’s not something that breaks when one side of the party fails to live up to the contract (and obviously we are the guilty party).
His love for us is not based on our performance or goodness, but in his essence, his character, his attribute.
God’s love for us is a covenant type of love. And though I know covenant is a deep word, enough to be a long article, I love how the book describes covenant:
GOD LOVES US WITH A NEVER STOPPING, NEVER GIVING UP, UNBREAKING, ALWAYS, AND FOREVER LOVE.
When you are going through something right now, or you think you are so far from God, or you have fallen away from him, please remember that his love for you is not based on your good works. Remind yourself of God’s covenant with you if you are in Christ. He loves you with a never stopping, never giving up, unbreaking, always and forever love.

Yay! You’re blogging again! Keep writing and influence more people. 😉
