It’s all that you have

Being excellent does not necessarily mean expensive. What it does mean is that we creatively make the most of the resources we have, depending on the season we are in, according to the culture that we target, to get to the goal we have set.

It means:

1) Naming and managing your resources.
The greatest resource is man power. Do you have the people who will do the job? How many do you need? Etc. Money, equipments, ideas, services, connections, networks, whatever you have that can help you accomplish your goal is a resource.

2) Checking the timing.
Do you need it now? Does everyone agree? Is this the best time to bring your ideas up? Can you back it up? Should you research more?

3) Knowing who you are doing this for?
A bad thing maybe to create something expensive which is not really needed by the audience you are reaching out to. What is the culture you are in? How will you engage it?

4)Where is God in the picture?
Are we relying on his wisdom? Are we doing things as a step of faith or fear and independence? Do we trust God?

This is where we plan(‘diskarte’). When road blocks come and when things planned doesn’t go our way and when we lack the resources we need, how do you respond? What can you do to reach your goal? How is your faith growing in the middle of these challenges?
