The opinionated mission of Jesus 4/5

Just as our world of lies have to be dominated and barged by the world of truth, God, the Source of Truth and is the Truth, have to change us. But He will not do so from with-out (that would mean he would have to eradicate us). Since He is pure truth and no falseness is in Him, He has to break our world of lies from with-in. And to do so He made Himself vulnerable in every way, took the form of man. God becoming and taking the form of man. The incarnation. Becoming flesh so that God can relate to us completely.

For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. – Hebrews 4:15

This is the reason why he can say he is the only way and truth. Only he passed the road. Only He can destroy our own world of falseness, for He is God.

But why???

Do you really have a life when you live in lies? Sure you may be happy for a time, but seriously, is there life there? Do you live “who you are” when you care for the opinions of others? Don’t you lose yourself when other people’s opinions matter? When you value them more than you should?

Wouldn’t you want to live who you really are?

Who would you go to if you want to know who you are? The opinionated masses and culture? Or the one who says all things True? Wouldn’t you really have a life if you know who you are?

“Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” – John 14:6NIV

“…I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full” – John 10:10b NIV

A full life. That is what he wants to give you.

But why?

If someone knows who you really are, with all that are bad in you, all the flops, screw ups and desperate things you have done but still accepts you, what do you call that person? Pathetic or in Love?

And here our reason reaches its highest peak where it stops, unable to graps the object it used to devour. It is Love. Love that he dealt with us not on what we deserve (destruction) but with grace. Love that he came here and took our form. The motivation for every “action” he does. Love.

And His love is Truth.

Enough to carry our sins and falseness on the cross.

In the cross His perfection was imputed to us and our sins and falseness were on him.

At the cross, God’s justice and anger were met by Jesus.

Do you want to know the Truth?

Then you got to know God for everything came from him.

Do you want to know God?

Then you got to know Jesus for he is the only way.

Do you want to know Jesus?

Then you have to accept the truth that everything started from God. Even this act of saving is initiated from God. God, took on the form of Man in the person of Jesus. Jesus lived a perfect, complete, truthful life, a life we cannot live and never lived. Died on the cross for the sins we made, the sin of missing God’s mark, of rebelling against Him, of breaking His laws, in rejecting the truth. He died yet has risen from the dead. Jesus did not remain dead, indeed He is alive. He lived and gave us life, a full life. An abounding life that previews now in this world we live in and is completed eternally in his presence.
