The Most Powerful Operating System

Nope, it is not a techy-kind of blog, but yep it does talk about a very important operating system in our lives.

Today, the power of our mobile devices rests in its operating system. Whether it is the latest iOS of Apple or the Candy-themed Versions of our android devices, the operating system is one factor on how well the device would handle multiple applications and our productivity.

In the same way, our lives should be run by the right operating system. There is no more powerful operating system but Jesus Christ because Jesus should not be a side issue in our lives, he should be front and center. The Lamb of God that came to save us from our sins and gave his absolute all deserves our absolute all as well. Only the power that comes from a Christ-centered life can start us up with passion and wisdom, sustain us in the middle of our journey and challenges and see us through the end as victors in Christ.
Revelation 5:6

Then I saw a Lamb, looking as if it had been slain, standing at the center of the throne, encircled by the four living creatures and the elders….

Colossians 1:18
Christ is also the head of the church, which is his body. He is the beginning, supreme over all who rise from the dead. So he is first in everything.

PinwheelJesus being the center of our lives means that everything should be viewed according to his will, and be done in line to what pleases him. Nothing should take the place of that center, nothing is sufficient enough to satisfy our deepest desires, nothing empowers us with unending energy and no one loves us more than we ever dared imagine but our Lord Jesus Christ.

“There is not a square inch in the whole domain of our human existence over which Christ, who is Sovereign over all, does not cry, Mine!” – Abraham Kuyper

Some questions to ponder:

1) What would happen to your life if Christ is just a side issue and something or someone takes the driving force of your life? Would life be easier or harder? How come?

2) Is there anything or anyone that has the potential to take Christ’s position in your life? Ask The Holy Spirit to make Christ known to you more.
